La opinión de Claudia Sheinbaum sobre el primer foro de la reforma al Poder Judicial
Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, virtual president-elect of Mexico, was questioned upon her arrival in Yucatán about the first open parliament forum in relation to the reform of the Judiciary.
“Very good, it’s great that everyone participates, that they give their opinions, that it’s a public debate, very good,” commented Dr. Sheinbaum.
It is important to remember that in said forum, legislators positioned themselves in favor or against the initiative that aims to elect judges, magistrates, and ministers by popular vote.
After announcing the names of the people who will accompany her in her cabinet, the president-elect sent a message to the workers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN).
“They don’t have to be afraid or have any problems, all labor rights will be respected, and they even have the opportunity to participate in the election of judges, because they also have experience, they can be part of positions that are currently awarded through favoritism, family ties; so what we want is to clean up the Judiciary and the workers have all their rights enshrined,” commented Claudia Sheinbaum.
The president-elect’s stance on transparency and inclusivity within the Judiciary is a sign of the changes that may come under her administration. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
