Clara arrasa en el debate y lidera las encuestas con una ventaja de dos dígitos: Gabriela Cuevas
Gabriela Cuevas, spokesperson for Clara Brugada Molina’s campaign, declared on Monday that the candidate for Head of Government was the winner of the first capital debate held on the night of Sunday, March 17, at the MVS Televisión facilities. This was confirmed in an interview with Óscar Mario Beteta for El Heraldo Radio.
The former mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, and now a member of Brugada Molina’s campaign team, mentioned that the victory was significant because their candidate presented the most concrete proposals among all those heard last night.
Regarding the candidate from the “Va por la CDMX” alliance, Santiago Taboada Cortina, Gabriela Cuevas stated that while he appeared combative, she did not notice any concrete or tangible proposals. “He didn’t say how he was going to do it,” Cuevas explained. “Santiago never mentioned the what or the how, but if we look at it in terms of public works, he did not build a single square meter of public works in Benito Juárez. In the analysis, in the proposal list, Clara explained her proposals the best, and second place goes to Salomón.”
In relation to the candidate from the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), Salomón Chertorivski, Cuevas mentioned that “his participation invites certain reflections, but ultimately fails to connect because he has not walked the streets. Mexico City is full of different realities that need to be known and experienced,” Cuevas emphasized.
Cuevas also expressed surprise at the amount of lies being spread by several PAN spokespersons, inviting people to verify who is speaking the truth as a highly polarized campaign with debates and attacks approaches.
“Clara Brugada leads the polls with a double-digit difference,” Cuevas highlighted. “The PRI, PAN, and PRD have forgotten about the people and their militancy, and we are very clear about that. We have two more debates and many proposal presentations to go,” she emphasized.
Cuevas also mentioned that Brugada Molina “continues to lead the polls with a double-digit difference. I believe that an interesting exercise is coming in the boroughs, as we may be in for many surprises with boroughs returning to the left, due to a significant disappointment with opposition governments.”
The spokesperson stated that in several of these areas, they will return to the left because there is a great discontent with the way the PRIAN has governed. “All mayors have to be held accountable, and this is an important moment in the campaigns. I believe that the PAN will end up with 4 or 5 boroughs, and today voters can contrast the results left by the PAN, with the final word being in the hands of the people,” she concluded.
