Taboada llama a la ciudadanía a continuar buscando el cambio: ¡Esta no es la parada final!
Santiago Taboada, who represented the Va X la Ciudad de México alliance (PAN, PRI, and PRD) to compete for the head of Government, pointed out that although he admitted his defeat despite the “irregularities” in the process, he will not give up on his goals. He called on the citizens to avoid polarization and continue to seek change.
Through a video shared on social media, Taboada Cortina mentioned that he will use all the tools at his disposal to actively participate in the construction of a better city and emphasized that “this is not the final stop” for him.
“It is not time to abandon the causes”
“We will be part of the solutions for a better city and a better country. I am part of the generation of change that fights, rises, does not settle, moves forward, and does not give up. This is not the final stop, but a station that will make us stronger. I tell you looking into your eyes, nobody gets off here, we will see each other very soon,” he said in a video shared on social media.
Likewise, Santiago Taboada thanked everyone who showed their support for the project he led, the business chambers, universities, and the citizens, whom he also asked not to contribute to disillusionment and to continue on the path of change.
He stressed that all sectors are important to build a city without barriers that promotes rights and freedoms, so he requested active participation that allows the city to achieve a true metamorphosis.
“We have to keep fighting to level the playing field for everyone, but we must choose wisely how we will do it. We cannot afford to make mistakes because if we do, we will always be going back to this same moment. We have to dialogue in the prevailing circumstances today, we must find our place to be players and not pawns on the board because the country does not belong to anyone. No one proposes crude confrontation or cowardly submission, let it be clear,” he stated.
The former candidate insisted that it is necessary to shake off the dust and seek a joint project, emphasizing that it is not time to abandon the causes, but to be stronger and more committed to them so that at some point we can live the dream of having a new government in Mexico City.
“It is a fact that we will not find the answers for the future if we get lost in what is already past. We have to focus on the answers and actions and leave behind the frustration that many of us feel because the project of change did not come to the city at this time. We will not stop being brave, we will not abandon resistance, but we must be clear about the purposes and objectives,” he emphasized.
