El futuro de Claudia Sheinbaum: un crecimiento imparable en la preferencia de los electores
Gerardo Fernández Noroña, coordinator of social organizations in Claudia Sheinbaum’s presidential campaign, stated that the results of the polls, which show a significant advantage for the candidate of the “Let’s Keep Making History” coalition over Xóchitl Gálvez, are a reflection of what has happened throughout this electoral contest.
In an interview with Sergio Sarmiento and Lupita Juárez, broadcasted on El Heraldo Radio, Fernández Noroña commented that in the remaining 30 days until the June 2nd election, Claudia Sheinbaum will continue to grow in the preference of voters, however, the candidate of the Morena-PT and PVEM coalition must not become overconfident.
Fernández Noroña considered that if the election result on the day is as decisive as shown by the polls, the opposition will have no choice but to accept the defeat of their candidate.
He assured that there is not a day when the candidate of the PAN, PRI, and PRD coalition, Xóchitl Gálvez, does not make mistakes during her presidential campaign.
He pointed out that there is one final debate left and it is very possible that Xóchitl Gálvez will continue with her attitude of not respecting the format, of continuing with slander and calumny.
Noroña recalled the call made by Claudio X. González to the presidential candidate of Movimiento Ciudadano, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, to step aside for Xóchitl Gálvez.
“The desperate call from Claudio X. González to Álvarez Máynez telling him to step aside, because if it is the only way for Xóchitl to win a process as they did internally, to step aside from everyone, then they want Álvarez Máynez to step aside, and even if he does, it’s not enough to beat us, but if their candidacy is solid because they are asking him to step aside,” he questioned.
He highlighted that the response from the presidential candidate of Movimiento Ciudadano was very strong, demanding the departure of the three leaders of the parties that support Xóchitl Gálvez.
He pointed out that the National Electoral Institute (INE) has been slow in promoting that the election is on June 2nd, and not on July 2nd, as citizens were used to.
