Plan integral para mejorar las condiciones de vida en México: Propuesta de Araceli Damián González

Arcelia Damián González, who is set to become the next Secretary of Inclusion and Social Welfare, detailed that during Clara Brugada’s government, she has been tasked with providing quality services to the people, “not just services to fulfill a function, but the best for those who have the least.”

In an interview with “Reporte H” with Blanca Becerril from El Heraldo Televisión, which is broadcast through the signal of El Heraldo Media Group, she stated that within the new secretariat, they plan to create new programs and strengthen existing ones. She emphasized that there is a “very broad program for improving living conditions.”

Arcelia Damián González declared, “We have to rebuild and reimagine what the welfare system in our city is. One of the most important tasks I will have in taking charge of this Secretariat is to lead the construction of the Public Care System, which is one of the promises that has been most well received by the population.”

She specified that this system proposes a way to expand and allow the participation of women in social and economic life, as society has not been able to build enough spaces to provide care from birth to old age.

Arcelia Damián González also announced the creation of a care center that will address infant development. Additionally, there will be Rehabilitation Centers for people with disabilities, which will have specialized pools for therapy, public laundries, Houses for the Elderly, and the reinforcement of the Public and Social Dining System.

She added that Clara Brugada has also committed to providing free transportation to students from public universities in the city, supporting the population aged 0 to 2 who are not covered by a scholarship, as well as a program for adults aged 57 to 59 to complement the one for the elderly.
